July 2023 Book Club Reading List 2023 | Growth Lab

Searching for an excellent book to read that will challenge your perspective and help you achieve your goals?

This curated list features great reads that span personal development, growth, high performance, and a few psychological thrillers from two of my favorite authors.

If you’re looking for the next book to help you on your growth journey or a thrilling fiction book to get lost in, you will surely find your next read on this list.

This month, I found myself engrossed in an array of books that have broadened my worldview and served as thrilling page-turners.

Among them, "Outwitting the Devil" by Napoleon Hill stood out, which I've found myself revisiting due to its profound insights into overcoming mental battles.

Some might find its content controversial, but ultimately, it is a testament to our universal struggles, regardless of religion, race, or creed.

July Reading List:

  2. Tell No One by Harlan Coben: A fast-paced thriller about a man who discovers that his deceased wife might still be alive, wrapped in a web of corruption and danger.

  3. Caught by Harlan Coben: A suspenseful story that involves a social worker attempting to expose a reality TV star, leading to a complex web of lies and secrets.

  4. The Art of War by Sun Tzu: An ancient Chinese military treatise still widely revered today for its profound insights on strategy and leadership.

  5. Outwitting the Devil by Napoleon Hill: This book, written in 1938 but only published in 2011, is a thought-provoking dialogue between Hill and the 'devil’ discussing the psychological barriers that impede success.

  6. Echo Park by Michael Connelly: In this thriller, Detective Harry Bosch reopens a cold case and uncovers disturbing secrets about a murder from his past.

  7. Winning by Tim S. Grover, Shari Wenk: From the trainer of elite athletes, this book delves into the mindset of winners, those who relentlessly pursue success.

  8. 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey: This timeless self-help guide provides powerful lessons in personal change based on fairness, integrity, and human dignity principles.

  9. The Bride Collector by Ted Dekker: In this murder mystery, readers follow FBI Agent Brad Raines in a riveting, suspense-filled pursuit of a serial killer whose victims are mysteriously known as his 'brides.'

  10. The Overlook by Michael Connely: This thrilling adventure puts Detective Harry Bosch into a politically charged investigation involving a murdered doctor, radioactive substances, and a looming threat of terrorism.
