Growth Journal 2.0 - Kaizen Lifestyle
Welcome to your weekly dose of vitamin BetterMe.
This newsletter is designed to give you the tools and mental frameworks to help you on your journey to becoming the best version of YOU!
Formally called DigiDom Digest, this newsletter has been rebranded to Growth Journal, which is more authentic to its purpose: inspiring growth within.
In honor of this rebrand, this week is about the Japanese concept of kaizen and continuously pushing ourselves to strive for better.
đź’ Quote of the Week:
“Never stop investing. Never stop improving. Never stop doing something new. Make it your goal to be better each and every day in some small way. Remember the Japanese concept of Kaizen: small daily improvements eventually result in huge advantages.”
💪🏾 Weekly Challenge: Apply the Kaizen Method
The Japanese term kaizen means change for the better to continuous improvement.
So, this week’s challenge is focused on continuously moving closer to our goals through small daily improvements.
Day 1: Get Inspired!

Take notes on what inspires you and how you can apply it.
Spend some time setting intentions for the week ahead and visualizing yourself making progress toward your goals.
Day 2: Identify Areas for Improvement
Reflect on your life before you start your day and identify areas you want to improve.
Write down at least three specific goals you want to achieve.
Day 3: Break Down Your Goals
Take one of the goals you wrote down on Day 2 and break it into smaller, manageable steps.
Create a detailed plan of action and write down each task.
Day 4: Start Small
Take action on one of the smaller steps from your plan.
Make sure it's something you can accomplish in 30 minutes or less.
Day 5: Track Your Progress
Create a system to track your progress toward your goals.
This could be a physical journal, an excel spreadsheet, or an app.
Use this system to stay motivated, track your progress, and celebrate your successes.
Day 6: Overcome Obstacles
Identify any obstacles preventing you from progressing and brainstorm ways to overcome them.
You may struggle with time-draining obligations, inconsistent effort, or getting distracted.
Create a list of strategies you can use to overcome future obstacles.
Find tools and strategies of people that are in the position you want to be in and adopt their mental frameworks.
Day 7: Reflect and Plan for the Future
Take some time to reflect on your progress throughout the week.
Celebrate your successes and think about what you've learned.
Write down at least one thing you want to continue working on, one thing you want to improve, and one thing you're proud of achieving.
Use these reflections to plan how you will continue to apply the principles of Kaizen in your daily life.
